BM Inc. privacy notice
We make brands for humans, so we think data policies should be written for humans too. Here’s the short, honest truth about how we handle your information:
Who we are:
We’re BM Inc., a creative studio based in the UK. If you ever want to talk to us about your data, email: hello@bminc.co.uk
What we collect:
If you browse our website, we may collect:
– your IP address
– basic usage information via Google Analytics
This helps us understand what’s working on the site and what isn’t. Don’t worry, we can’t identify website visitors personally from this.
If you choose to get in touch with us or work with us, we may collect:
• your name
• your email address
• anything you choose to share with us in messages or forms
We don’t go looking for sensitive personal data. If a project ever requires it, we’ll agree that upfront.
Why we use it:
We use personal data to:
• respond to enquiries
• deliver projects
• send newsletters (if you’ve asked for them)
• understand how people use our website
We only do this where we have a lawful basis, usually because:
• you’ve asked us to contact you
• it’s necessary for a contract
• or it’s a legitimate business interest, such as improving our site
Analytics:
We use Google Analytics to understand website usage.
Google may store this information on servers outside the UK, but they use recognised safeguards for international data transfers. You can read more in Google’s privacy policy: http://www.google.com/privacy.html
How long we keep it
Only as long as we need it. That might be for the duration of a project, or longer where accounting or legal rules require it.
If you’d like us to delete your information, just ask.
Who we share it with
We only share information where it’s genuinely needed to run our business, like with cloud platforms, production partners or our accountants, all of which provide appropriate safeguards for personal data.
Otherwise, no one.
Even if Stephen Fry asked us nicely, we wouldn’t show him anything.
Your rights
You can always ask to see what information we hold about you, correct it, or request deletion where appropriate. Just say the word.
